Easy Vase

Cannot be done with other versions without modifications

All of my tutorials are written following the steps I used to make my graphic.   
It is my hope that you will take what I provide 
and do your own thing with it. 



Paint Shop Pro  8 - Download a trial version   
Basic knowledge of vectors and layers

Remember to SaveOften  

 Drag the arrow to mark your place


Lets Begin

New Image: 300 x 300
File/Save As:   violets.pspimage


Make The Ball

Effects/Artistic Effects/Balls & Bubbles
Click the arrow next to Presets and scroll to find the preset you want
Gold Filigree was used here



Deform Tool
Click on one of the side nodes and drag it towards the center
Repeat for the other side
Once satisfied click the reset arrow

Adjust/ Sharpness /Sharpen


Cut off the Bottom

Use the Selection tool...rectangle to cut some of the bottom off so the vase can sit flat


Cut Off Some Of The Top

Change the Selection tool to Ellipse 
Select some of the top
Tap the Del key
Keep selected


Add An Edge

Selections/ Modify/ Expand
Number of pixels: 6
Click Inside the selection 

New Raster Layer
Flood fill with white 

Add a Blade Pro gold preset or flood fill with a color of your choice

And your vase is done unless you want to select a little at the bottom for additional trim.
