but could be done with other versions.

All of my tutorials are written following the steps I used to make my graphic.   
It is my hope that you will take what I provide 
and do your own thing with it. 



Paint Shop Pro -  Download a trial version   

Remember to SaveOften
STEPS - These are the steps I used.

Drag the arrow to mark your place


Lets Begin

New Image: 300x300
File/Save As:tiles.pspimage
New Image: 50x50
File/Save As:grout.pspimage


 Make the Grout

Active Image: grout

Flood Fill with: #c0c0c0

Selections/ Select All [Ctrl+A]
Selections/ Modify/ Contract
Number of pixels: 1
Tap the Del Key
File/ Save
Minimize this tile for now

Active Image: tiles
Flood Fill with white

New Raster Layer: grout

In the Materials Palette select the tile you just made
Flood Fill with the grout


 Decorate The Tile

Now is the time to decorate the tiles if desired

Active Image: grout
New Raster Layer: deco
Using the grout as a guide for placement add some decorations
You can use a paintbrush and draw, paste on a picture tube etc.

Turn off the grout layer

Active Window: tiles
New Raster Layer: deco
Flood Fill with the deco

I wanted some tiles to be plain
Active Layer: grout

Magic Wand
Mode: Replace
Match Mode: RGB Value
Tolerance: 25
Contiguous: Checked
Feather: 0
Anti-alias: NOT Checked

Hold Down the Shift Key and click inside each of the tiles you want blank

Active Layer: deco
Tap the Del Key


 Bevel The Tiles

Active Layer: grout

Click on the grout
Selections/ Invert [Ctrl+Shift+I]

Active Layer: Raster 1

Effects/ 3D Effects/ Inner Bevel
Bevel #2
Width: 8
Smoothness: 0
Depth: 1
Ambience: 0
Shininess: 0
Color: white
Angle: 315
Intensity: 70
Elevation: 20
