This tutorial was done with PSP9   
but could be done with other versions.

All of my tutorials are written following the steps I used to make my graphic.   
It is my hope that you will take what I provide 
and do your own thing with it. 

 

YOU WILL NEED

Paint Shop Pro -  Download a trial version 
A tube to work with I used a tube by Nonny
I have provided the tube I used
Basic knowledge of layers  

Remember to SaveOften
STEPS - These are the steps I used.


Drag the arrow to mark your place

I started experimenting using tubes and the frames were born

1.

Let's Begin

Open Nonny's blueberry tube
Edit/Copy [Ctrl+C]

New Image 400x400
Selections/ Select All [Ctrl+A]

Edit/ Paste/ Paste Into Selection [Ctrl+Shift+L]

Selections/ Select None [Ctrl+D]

Selection Tool [S]
Selection type: Circle
mode: Replace
Feather: 0
Anti-alias: checked

Make your selection

Effects/ Reflection Effects/ Kaleidoscope

Remove The Center
  Selection Tool [s]
Select the center

Edit/ Cut [Shift+Del]
[I used Cut because I wanted to keep the center]

Edit/Paste as New Image [Ctrl+V]
Close the tube image

Active image: the cutout
Select the part you want to keep
Image/ Crop To Selection [Shift+R]
Save and close

Back to the frame Image
Save
3. Apply Shading
  Image/ Canvas Size
Width and Height: 400 pixels
Make sure under Placement,
the center button is depressed

Selections/ Select All [Ctrl+A]
Selections/ Float [Ctrl+F]
Selections/ Defloat [Ctrl+Shift+F]
Selections/Invert [Ctrl+Shift+I]

New Raster Layer
Effects/ 3D Effects/ Drop Shadow
Offsets: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 25.00
Color: #000000
OK

I turned off the first layer so you could see the shadow
4. Finish Up
   Select/ Select None [Ctrl+D]

Layers/ Properties 
Adjust the Opacity of the shadow layer to suit your taste

Decorate as desired

Save and Close
5. The Cutout Image
  Open the cutout image

Image/ Canvas Size

Width and Height: 100 pixels

Adjust/ Sharpness/ Sharpen

Selections/ Select All [Ctrl+A]
Selections/ Float [Ctrl+F]
Selections/ Defloat [Ctrl+Shift+F]

New Raster Layer

Effects/ 3D Effects/ Cutout
Offsets: 0
Opacity: 50
Blur: 10.00
Color: #000000
OK

Save
You have a nice button to use on scrapbook pages
