This tutorial was done with PSP9
but could be done with other versions.

All of my tutorials are written following the steps I used to make my graphic.
It is my hope that you will take what I provide
and do your own thing with it.

Any of various geometric designs (usually circular) symbolizing the universe; used chiefly in Hinduism and Buddhism as an aid to meditation

STEPS - These are the steps I used.

Drag the arrow to mark your place

Lets Begin

I am giving instructions using the provided images. Just experiment and most of all HAVE FUN
Also in the file is my center mark graphic.
I like using it to find the center of an image
Just copy it and paste as a new layer in your image
Move to your main layer to work
When you are done just delete that layer

Open picture 001.jpg

Place the center mark [if desired]

Selection Tool [S]
Selection type: Circle
mode: Replace
Feather: 0
Anti-alias: checked

The circle selection works from the center out
Place the cursor in the center of the image
and drag outward to make your selection

If you right click on the marching ants you can move the selection
The selection does not need to be centered

  Effects/ Reflection Effects/ Kaleidoscope

Edit/ Copy [Ctrl+C]
Edit/ Paste/ Paste As New Image [Ctrl+V]

Close the original image without saving

"I start with an image of anything, as long as there are flowers or bright colors in it, and then I just do the kaleidoscope until I like it...then I select with the circle selection tool, copy, and paste as new image ...then tube it"

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial

OK now I am hooked on mandalas.   Are there other things I can do with them?
